Linear

To learn more about how Steady's Linear integration works, see our Linear integration overview.

Set up

To set up the Linear integration:

  1. In Linear, visit Settings > Account > API.
  2. Select Create new webhook
  3. For the label, enter Steady
  4. Next, visit the Account Management - Integrations page in Steady, and copy the payload URL listed there under the Linear panel.
  5. Paste the payload URL from Steady into the URL field in Linear
  6. Under Data change events, select Issues
  7. Optionally modify the Teams that Steady should receive events from
  8. Select Create webhook

Troubleshooting

  • Look for updates on the Activity page first. The check-ins on the dashboard will sum up updates from the previous period. (The check-ins essentially say, "Here's what I did yesterday, and here is the activity to go along with that.)
  • Steady will only process assigned issues in Linear.
  • Check to make sure the full name in Linear profiles matches the first and last name of team members in Steady.
